Back in the days prior to the wipe there was no dealing with Spain.  They viewed EVERYTHING in the gulf and up to about Cabo on the east coast as their historical homelands.  Which is kinda why they fought almost exclusively over Islamabad and Ays over and over.

Graf doesn’t care.  The flag means nothing to him.  But lifer Spanish like Jorge and Alucard do.  Every single port you take drives them and the rest of Spain nuts.  Batabano and Key West being in hands other than Spanish is killing the nations morale daily.  These ports that they say no one cares about will immediately be ground back up the moment they are dropped or the timers removed.

Last time I checked ports in west lousiana had EU timers. In addition to, all the ports south of guayaguare don't have timers.

Regarding banking or the economy, I would ask all players to think on this idea for a while...

Cash (currently gold currency) needs to travel onboard a ship. If a ship is going to the same base Nation port then a “Letter of Credit” can be used (safety) as transfer otherwise cash is king.

Think of how this impacts the game and in relation to the realistic teleportation systems!!! Magic Wallets eventually must be phased out. You can’t discuss economy with Magic wallets and Star Trek technologies with the age of sail...
