there is a "Condent" flag on the pirate flag list - its rectangular  not triangular.

your missing the flag the royal navy flew at trafalagar and all the great naval battles of that era

the union flag in the corner should have the st patrick cross in it

Not all flags, and not allships, are post-1800.  Naval Action is set in a range of years.

just  seems a strange choice to have GB flags from 1625 .. i dont think they are any ships in game from 1600s?   yet to miss correct flag for era that most of in game ships sailed in ?

im assuming the current in game white ensign will remain ... and not be replaced by pre 1800

whats the point of having these flags as dlc when u can already alter the game files to display ur own customizable nation flag that is only visible on ur screen and those that have the same modification. if the devs want to add something worthwhile bring back paint schemes for the ships or sail color packs or even crests for the mail sails. something that would be worth spending money on.

1 You will see alternate flags on ships if owner has chosen the alternate flag on both sides (enemy and yours)
2 If you join an ongoing battle for other nation you will use the standard flag of that nation.

DLC is for those who WANT others to see their amazing flag, for the purpose of pride or to generate confusion.

but it kind of defeats the purpose when most of the veteran players can already tell which nation a specific clan is with the whole flag thing is rather pointless, especially since u can check which players joined and what rank they are at u can pretty much instantly tell what nation they belong to.

we dont have enough players to really make a flag dlc worth having at this stage. all its going to do is make peoples flags more nice to look at but they give nothing really to the gameplay

Yes....that's exactly what we want. 

That's exactly what cosmetic items are, nice to look at and they don't negatively affect your gameplay in any way.

I guarantee you, the people still playing are stone-cold serious enough about it that they will definitely buy flags. And if that's what it takes to fund more gameplay mechanics, so be it.

 

Personally I'd buy a fun flag. Couldn't care less about nations but I'll drop five bucks on a Steven Universe or Pickle Rick flag or some shit. In a heartbeat.

I'm a little confused at people digging in against paid cosmetics. It's not exactly a programming-intensive endeavor, and I'd rather not pay a monthly subscription.

lol, it would be more sense of achievement if you spend an entire day trying to get first spot in pvp leaderboard or holdiding a certain region and get a flag available to use and an achievement  instead of persuading with your mother

if the devs only want money put a ship for each tier up as DLC there u make alot more that way then cosmetic flags that u can only see in battle
