I've been wondering how the bonus books and refits really work and how much can be accumulated.

What is the maximum possible percentage that can be combined in one skill

30%? 40%? 50%? 100%?

Let's create an example

A ship with:

Floating Battery (1-3 rates) -15% Reload
British Gunnery Sergeant -8% Reload
Bowfigure Lion -5% Reload

Old Flag -5% Reload
Gunnery Ency. -5% Reload
Rum Ration -10% Reload
PodwerMonkeys -10% Reload
Instructions aux Canonniers -3% Reload

61% Reload? Or is there a limit?

The idea is to try to understand how much it is possible to combine the same skill, for armor, thickness, repair

I already tried to make a Santissima full armor

Floating Bat / Bridgetown / Bowfigure Elephant and the plaking book but the value of the armature no longer changed by a certain limit, does the value continue but is not displayed?

You need to understand what the maximum possible bonus we can get from each skill so we do not occupy slots with unnecessary skills.

Say your opinion... Tnks

Turning Speed - 25%

Sail HP - 30%

Armor HP - 30%

Hull thickness - 30%

Gun Reload - 30%

Gun dispersion (both horizontal and vertical) - 40%

Speed - 15.5 knots

These are the hard caps

Not sure about repairs but I once did a test where I put on as many repair mods / perks / books as i could find and managed to repair from 0% to 50%

Where did you get the hard caps from? Would be fun to see if there are any boarding caps which I suppose there is.
