Discovering Patrol Mission

Not active for a good while, I sailed (under the name of Cachalot) today with an aga to this Patrol area, to test it.

I got tagged by 3 Pirates with heavier BR, I got chased up, fought a little (firing sails & masts), and I went out of the circle.

I thought by doing that I could get out of the Battle after the countdown, but not.

It looks like I lost the aga, not a big deal.

Then I spoke with some TS old friends (still active) and they told me that escaping a Patrol battle was not acceptable and could even be reported as a fault...

So, I just want to apology to the 3 Pirate players who tagged me, had I knew this condition (Patrol system) I would not have bothered sailing on me own to this Patrol area.

I've seen a ton of people claiming that running out of the circle in pvp zone battles and kiting in and out is against the rules and threatening to report each other over it (although people rarely do it anyway)

Is there any factual justification to these claims?
