Gregory Rainsborough Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 (edited) Might it be an idea to try a ship that is completely different from all the others? One that would undoubtedly give everyone a good laugh (like the gunboat) but which could actually be used in a port battle. I propose that a Hellenistic-era warships be added or perhaps some galleys? To spice things up and what not. Edited April 14, 2018 by Gregory Rainsborough

Kpt Lautenschlaeger Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 For me personally, a Trireme would break the immersion a bit too hard. However, the Swedish used galley frigates in the late(ish) XVIIIth century (and so did the Russians, I believe) like this one: That might actually be a fun addition for battles close to shore, later on in development. Probably takes bargeloads of development and coding to accurately reflect the effect of oars. 2
Capt Jubal Early Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Think the forums needed a good joke (just in case serious) No don't be silly. 2
