which ship?

So I finally made the move from PvE to PvP and Im wondering which ship is considered better for OW lone wolf hunting: Endy or Surprise? Endy in minutely slower but a lot more powerful Sur more nimble but weaker. Any input greatly appreciated. So far Im broke, my Merc got caught in OW by Surprise, put up a half hour fight alas to no avail,

Honestly, whatever ship you think you can fight best with is always a good option. Just know that speed is very important. If you can't achieve a speed greater than 13 knots, be very careful going around the OW by yourself. The more hardcore vets here will say the only playable ships in PVP are ultra-fast ones. But I say that I would rather take a fighting ship than something that's either made of paper or covered with expensive speed mods. Depends upon one's personal opinion.

As always, sailing in company of friendly ships is a big help. Join a clan if able, they can hook you up with ships and supplies and offer opportunities to participate in larger PVP events. 

Oh and in regards to your question Endy vs. Surprise, in my opinion the Surprise is awesome for its good sailing qualities. It can escape enemies on a beam reach with mild speed buffs and the chasers are a big plus. Endy is wicked fast but has no turn, she is a valuable PVP ship but you need to be careful with her. A lone 9pdr frigate could ruin your day dancing 'round your stern. Once again, depends upon your personal opinion.

why not? Many Captains underestimates the snow. If you practice a bit with the snow you can easy sink/capture any 5th rates (or higher rates but it will take longer).

Snow is perfect for stern chasing and raking. And another advantage is: It is cheap af! So it actually doesn't bother, if its sinks (depends on upgrades you put in of course).

suprise will be dismasted very fast by bigger ships but if I were you I would use it considering how cheap a suprise is compared to endy. If you pvp be prepared to sink so take what you can afford to loose

Snow is good. I got attacked by a Spanish Aga when i was sailing to tumbardo on a teak/crew Snow 1h20 mins lost by bording cause i didnt want get closer to the tower he surrvived with 30 crew. But he was thinking he got a easy target.
