Grundgemunkey Posted March 9, 2018 Posted March 9, 2018 the mad scramble to build 5/5 ships ,,in the 30 minutes from the devs announcing the shut down for the hotfix ..to the servers closing was the most fun ive had in Naval Action for a long time not sure what happened in other nations but Gb really came together to help each other out // people were giving each other resources and materials in sometimes large quantities in some cases for free to help each other build ships ... I understand why the decision was made to roll back the server ,,, but the dissapointment of losing the 5/5 ships was temrpered by the fun in making them and the scramble to find dock space ,, and recources that had run out i t would be fun if at random times maybe only once or twice in the week it could be announced in the same way that the treasure fleet is announced that .. for next 5 mins all ships crafted of one class will be 5/5 for example next 5 mins all crafted wasa will be 5/5 or all bucs will 5/5 you may argue that it will ruin economy i feel the opposite will happen ... in the half hour yesterday KPR shop was emptied of crafting materials and resources .. iom pretty sure if the rollback hadnt happened some traders would have made a lot of money or does anyone else have an idea that would cause such a scramble over a short period of time ?

Slim McSauce Posted March 9, 2018 Posted March 9, 2018 EVERY crafted ship should receive SOME bonus, leave stock 3/5 ships to captured AI, at the very least a crafted ship should receive a refit bonus, if not an extra perm slot. 3

Yes good idea. made a post for it (in bad englisch) but people did not see the intention or meaning of it so just a shout: "Make ship building great again" (i bet this is bad/good englisch/american to The reroll of the (builded) premium ships, was a bad idea to start with (and also necessary), but just a little adjustment would be more appropriate at that time at least people would build more ,what would boost the market and old bad ships would be put in battle more..> pvp. and shipbuilding would be more important for young captains to make there own premiums. Instead of complete RNG, I’d like to see the extra ingredient(s) produce a known permanent mod or at least a random mod of a certain class. For example: all crafted ships would be 3/5 but if you crafted it with additional muskets, you get an additional permanent boarding mod; with gunpowders, additional permanent penetration mod; certain woods add thickness or hp mods. Install copper plating at crafting time and your ship won’t have to use one of the 3 slots to have the benefits of copper plating. The permanently installed crafted mods in the bonus slots could get quite creative in their benefits and recipes. Hell, add 5 historical artifacts and get a repair or healing bonus mod permanently installed on the crafted ship.
