Tag circle... is fugly

As it is the tag circle is an eye sore on a beautiful game.  Could it be perhaps changed so that it is more subtle?   Instead of the huge thick lined circle perhaps change the colour of the water, stain it a lighter shade in the circle for example.

I thought it would look better as a target symbol above enemies with the circle fading in as you get close, friendlies would have a friendly symbol.

it also hinders shiprecognition ... which is more important now (if you don't know all the different BR-values).
