But certain players are also known for less than reputable tactics and are avoided for that reason. I think it goes both ways. I can see your point but I think the negatives of this change outweigh the positives.

Ok let's have a test. But maybe players will now fear a HachiRoku in every british flag ...

Could we have a toggle for this similar to smuggler? There's some situations where the name is necessary.

Other thing with hiding names on Ow: clan bases alliances (like the RAI in spain) have a problem now ... how to decide if tha spanish ship in front of you is part of the Rai or not? And i think there are many more clan-based agreements that are difficult to hold now ... funny XD

I get that if you are in the open world you should expect to be attacked etc, but it's nice to get some warning before hand.

is this even a problem?

Great Patch, i love most of the changes!
- Love that VM's get more accessable for everybody.
- Love that you do not see names anymore.
- Love most of the smaller changes you like to do.

But - I think the thing with many VMs for clans with many ports togheter with the high costs for timers will lead to that: Small clans will have troubles and large clans will be even more powerfull. Independent players who like to RvR will be completely out of business. I estimate that some parts of the map will go neutral and probably stay neutral.

Costs, as others said are a bit extreme with 500k/day for each port.

1) This will increase fear of combat, so it will increase fleeing from any enemy rather than fighting them.

2) will you at least able to see the names of the players of your own faction?

3) this will make impossible any alliance among clans in different factions (is it work as intended?)

One issue i see coming: Clans taking ports in the weekend to drop them after monday. More VM without timer costs due to cooldown....

What. Oh come on this isnt a good idea, we need a toggle or the ability to see other players because of clan alliances.

Looks like clans shouldn't hold a metric shit ton of ports unless they are willing to grind the gold for them.

Sounds good can't wait to to test and see how it goes.

 

Only part i don't fully understand is...

  • Tow to port now creates a PB entry timer. Timer is the same as the PB timer created after normal battles.

What does that mean? It' totally confused me.

Until now you could tow to port (from open world, the button which is intented to be used when you get stuck) to teleport to a PB and instantly join. This way you could surpass screening.

Now you can still teleport but have to wait 3 mins or so until you can join PBs, so screening can tag you.

500k per timer lol

Doesnt spain already make a loss of 100 million gold per week? Now half a billion. Pve hard or drop useless ports, gotta make a decision now :D

I like this. Instead of 5 clans owning 80% of the map with mothballed ports, smaller clans can actually use the ports.

It will be funny to hear how the attackers will describe the defenders' ships when they immediately exit from port.

Agree, it's verry stupid. VLTRA is owning 50% of the map, and 40% of their ports are dead lol.

I'm not dutch, I'm spanish.

Talking too much and too early is not a wise choice.
