Percival Merewether Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Can we have the option to assign separate keys for each fire mode? Would be nice to be able to switch to the fire mode you'd like instead of having to scroll through them. 13

If you're looking to keep cannons aimed perpendicular to the target then rolling fire is the only way when within a relatively short firing arc to do this. It's less important now with pen being less of an issue, but before it was far more "accurate" with respect to perpendicular shot penetration to coordinate a turn with respect to your target with rolling fire, front or back. Raking would be the same. Random, in its current implementation, grants no bonus over rolling fire and I can think of almost no instance where it would be more useful than a specifically chosen rolling fire with the current implementation. I dunno, I wish I could find the link. He made a good argument why random fire should result in more hits than rolling. That's all I remember about it tbh. Something with smoke maybe?
jodgi Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 I heard it through the grapevine... it's been added to some list. 1
