I would like to know the dev's reasoning behind the game "feature" which allows players to TAG AI's purely to force combat with  players within reinforcement zones, thus denying their victims the ability to call reinforcements. I was pursued by a Pirate yesterday betweeen Morant and kpr, he was MILES too leeward, the wind was fair for kpr and in any form of reality, he had NO CHANCE of catching my trader. Then hey presto I am in combat because he tagged an AI which I had overlooked. Pointless waste of time trying to fight or run so CTRL/Alt/ Del/ end task in sheer annoyance, and let the cheat have his loot and PVP points. OK I know the workaround; invite clerk to battlegroup etc etc but WHY should we have to?

Again: I am not interested in workarounds. WHY is this "feature" enabled? It's only purpose seems to be to allow lazy players (some may say cheats) to gain easy PVP marks, and the end result is endless amounts of camping around capitals.

i think...... you ....should be able to push>  the reinforce button :)) instead ..

but that would be cheating for the zerg to work with alt again so yeah i think the choice is >  reject button< going into a fight with other nations> attacking < ai is the only solution

Or be given the choice to join or not.  Then the enemy would never tag that AI.

well maybe not,... the ai can kill the ship ....

and enemy will certainly not come to your aid.

it probably will help the ai by blocking evasive action

Sounds more like lack of situational awareness.  Just cause your in a safe zone doesn't mean your safe.  If he was close enough to tag the AI and pull you than he was close enough to tag you.   Specially since you didn't even try to run and just left the game.  Why would he have more chance to catch you in a battle when he couldn't catch you in OW.  Would be nice to have a screen shot to prove he tagged an AI to pull you into battle.

Sorry, I was reading multiple times but couldn't understand your English on that one?

My comment was, that if the enemy thinks he can drag you in by tagging the AI, if instead he knows that you get a choice to join or not, then he will probaly skip the AI tag and continue chasing you.  That gives you more time to escape (or get caught) in the green zone, and if he still catches you, then you regain the ability to call reinforcements.
