PaladinFX Posted June 4, 2018 Posted June 4, 2018 @admin These Special Trims are really nice , some very good variety but PLEASE let us craft them, ie take away the RNG. Shipbuilders built to a purpose, they didn't pray to the RNG gods lol! One of the biggest frustrations in the game at the moment is that crafters cannot craft what they want trim wise, all you end up with is a whole bunch of vanilla teak/wo Endymions and Bellonas for sale in the KPR shop that no one wants. I'm ok with having RNG for the chance of a 4/5 purple or 5/5 gold ship but we should be able to craft the special trims as part of the ship build please. 3

Schwabbel Posted June 4, 2018 Posted June 4, 2018 Dear Developers, why don't you create the same mechanisms with ship experience for crafting as for battle. For each type of ship crafting XPs enable book based knowledge of advanced crafting abilities (for example trim types). So the 20th Bellona will be better than the first because of the gained experience. This would lead to a specialisation of the crafters on 'their' types of ship (as in reality, noone built trader brigs and first rates at the same level) If you use the same mechanisms as for battling (knowledge, books) you could reuse code structures. In a second step built-in upgrdes coud be integrated via special books in this mechansims also. 3

But it' s a -50% and -33% nerf respectively. Not a small nerf. That said... @admin: Will other trims (aside the most standard ones) be available and happening on crafted/redeemed ships too? I think they would add a nice chance to pushing some different ship set ups.
SnovaZdorowa Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Cramped / Very Cramped are nerfed. Upate please

Lets hope they fix the whole system to something better. If not, then yes they should decrease 1% and/or remove very fast from the game as 2% with the current values is very good.
