Based on the original room that was added long time ago, but was disabled - ships won't sink and you won't loose anything. You jump in , pick sides and start the battle. New room might have new features though.

Fleet Practice:

Why is the button to join so often deaktivated? Players looking into missions -> fleet parctice, then see a disabled button and leave immediately.

Only clickable shortly after the switch to the next 5 Minutes timer

I wouldn't mind - I'm all giddy if it works a bit like the duelroom.. which I never really appreciated enough since there were plenty of PvP to be had.. It wasn't untill it was gone and the reinforcementzones screwed PvP'ing up..

PS: That rep bonus was separating PVE and PVP players in combat. So we are in a PVP server, why you punishing the PVP players?

Plz consider bringing back the 22 hours delay for a PB instead of the current 24 hours. 22 hours makes for more uniform and stable gaming sessions all week long instead of an inflation towards later and later hours :)

This is good to hear. The majority of people use Teak/White Oak, but if they want an increase to thickness they need to sacrifice speed to do so.

Maybe make it 390? Balance it out with the 3rd Rate and Bellona a bit more. Also would like to see some Battle Rating changes to the other 4th rates as well since none of the 4th rates are alike.

Very good! Alter them to where the mods only give a small bonus rather than a significant one.

Despite the fact that I just dropped 150 PvP marks on the Carpenter Book, I'm still on board with a general nerf of mods...

are the fleet practice kills supposed to be appearing in combat news ?   if so, can they not be please ? not helpful or needed

 

any time frame on cannon penning changes, players are worried it will be a long time ..

Issues with hotfix:

- Combatnews clerk is reporting action of fleet practice leading to false information of player activity

- After I surrendered in a fleet practice I spawned in OW

 

Other Issues:

I lost a part of my main mast (niagara) and the falling mast turned pink (like losing the texture)

@admin would it be possible to NOT show kills from the Fleet Practice room in the combat news channel? Issues: causes confusion if player kills another player from the same fraction. reveals peoples location of ships if they kill someone in those actions. It's only of minor nature though.

  • NPC suppliers of repairs now supply them at cost + some margin (instead of the cost) to give some opportunities for crafters to compete.

While I have not been playing long, I find it is a good idea to remind myself and others on occasion, that this game is still in ALPHA! Think on this. The developers have thousands of hours of work to do, while still having to pay their individual bills along with the bills that come with hosting servers and maintenance, all the while getting (random guess) less than 50 copy's purchased a month.  I am happy that @adminactually posted patch notes this time. Never saw the hotfix patch notes from the release last week.

In short:

Keep up with the patience
Don't stop critiquing (because this is important for the devs to get a read on players)

"And don't stop... believing!"

Double shot:

Let me get this straight, a 12-pounder penetrates 22" of oak when the velocity is only 734ft/s? That's way into the subsonic range. And the shot only falls to that velocity after 1100 yards if fired with full charge (1526 f/s)?

That's impressive, so a frigate will be hulling SoLs even at extreme range.

After fastly reviewing the patch I'd say: $£"&&//("£$£!%$%&/()!! ??

Better expressed: the ideas are good (Wasa higher BR, wood type affecting mast bonuses, review of speed/turning books). In general much appreciable*.

The real choises still are totally out of target IMO.

1. Devs nerfed (aside loodsman and the small -0.5 copper speed) mainly easily obtainable books/mods (like Speed trim - that bring a malus too - and Gazelle; or staysails/square treatises) and not really rare super books/mods. If you nerf Gazelle to 1% (making it almost useless) you should nerf NHR too to 2% for example as a bare minimum.

Are Devs aim to widen the gap between rich vets and new/casual players??? or what?

WHY?

2. FAR WORST, even if almost EVERY SINGLE POSTER SAID "Nerf Wasa Buff Constitution/Agamennon" NOTHING ON THAT SIDE.

Ok. Wasa will be less used in PBs. Still unbeatable in OW PVP. Well done. And Constitution/Agamennon still unusable (almost).

So the question. WHY?

3. Mast thickness from LO (and Caguarian) IS WORTHLESS (5%? kidding?? what is this espected to change in demasting???). May be it helps a bit in 1st rate PBs... still in OW raiding NOTHING CHANGES... granted that NOBODY will ever use LO (damn -9% speed) in PVP being like a suicide.

Again: WHY???

Can a Devs explain the reasoning behind such weird decisions?

Just to understand. I want to think there are sound reasons to act this way I'm too stupid to see.

Explanations would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.
