Water/ship graphics in OW vs battle

The water/ship graphics in battle are beautiful and realistic, ships gliding thru water gracefully with water spray and leeward heel at correct speed. For obvious reasons in OW that is not the case. I quite often tag a trader and sail away just to observe my ship sailing. It would be great to have an OW setting where you can enter a battle mode at will and for newbies practice manual sailing and gunnery. And yes gawk at one's own ship. Just a thought.....

Yeah, and for testing. Sometimes I spend half an hour looking for a decent instance to practice sailing after a patch.

We should be able to load an instance and leave a port in real time.

Lol, yes. I've adopted a paranoid trader tagging routine that allows me to escape gankers (hello, CABAL) even if I'm in a gunless heavy aga.

Well, you can stay in battle mode for 15 min after battle over, guess it will have to do.
