Well, I started a tac against the wind, but only got to slightly over 90 to the wind. Plenty of wind in my sails to retain above boarding speed. I saw my speed drop from 6 kts. to 0 in literally an instant, and knew my opponent was boarding fit. This deacceleration is what I believe to be a bug. This had never happened to me before so quickly. I then immediately put back auto sailsto gain max speed since I had corrected and wasn’t against the wind at that point only to accel at a pitifully slow rate. Not enough to avoid the capture.

its because it seems it jumps back to the old sail force when you auto skipper upwind after a tack, if you manually turn the yards it doesent suddenly stop

It happened before as well. The auto will simply "reset" any manual you've input and re arrange the strengths on sails in that split second. There is a point after the tack through and even wearing with where the switch to auto is seamless. It is not the same in all ships though but easy to practice.

Lack of faith in the transition from open world to battle has always been what ruined this game for me. It was always just a PVE game with some bad guys around for spice. As a game for players to fight other players it was a flaky joke.

This has to be one of the dumbest posts I’ve seen on all forums I’ve been on.

First you accuse a guy of “hacking” with no proof whatsoever (video doesn’t prove anything). Then the admin suggests B was accidentily pressed and says that it is impossible to control another players ship. This is a claim that he, as an admin, can state and that is most likely true.

Then I wonder how this is going to go on..

Expectation: “Hm, we will try to gather more evidence and respect your point.”

Reaility: “we have so much evidence, this happens to many people, you are not real developers, you don’t care about this game!!!” And provide no more evidence except a claim “oh I didn’t press B” which has no base whatsoever.

is this a joke?

that's no use.

Any evidence a player can present can be shoved aside by the devs with "you likely pressed a wrong button"

you present no damn evidence!!!!!
