sailing bug in fight

I came around this problem quite often, when another player (friend or enemy) enter my fight against an AI,  my sails stay blocked in the same position. If I'm in auto-sail it will still work but if I'm in manual I will have to open and close  the option menu a dozen times to get the control back.  I filled a bug report but since it happen quite a lot to me I thought it would helpful to post it here.
