CTC_ClanLeader Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 (edited) I got new nvida drivers within the windows update today morning - got only 7 FPS while playing, solved the problem bei taking the previos drivers (from 2015). Any ideas? Windows 7 64 bit. Gainward GTX 570 is my Card. Edited December 13, 2017 by CTC_ClanLeader
RedNeckMilkMan Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Seems like you have a somewhat old GPU, the Drivers may not run well on that hardware. 1
Haratik Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 (edited) I had a GeForce 730M graphics chip on my old laptop, and while I could run on low graphics, it would struggle with higher quality. I would recommend upgrading your card if you can. Also begs the question, what system are you running? Edited December 13, 2017 by Haratik
Norfolk nChance Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 @CTC_ClanLeader this is a little guide I did a while back minimum specs etc. If possible I would recommend the GPU upgrade also look at how much RAM you have. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=934048215
CTC_ClanLeader Posted December 14, 2017 Author Posted December 14, 2017 thanks, but it works fine again with the old drivers. Just dont know if its a nvidia or a naval action problem that i only get 7 FPS in Naval action. (Didnt profed other games)
Ink Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Captain, what is the driver number? According to NVidia site the latest driver for the 500 series is this one https://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/127665 Also compare performance with other games would help a lot Another option is to deinstall the driver with a program like ddu and make a clean install of the driver
Vizzini Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 I'm running the same old card as you , I had an issue with the asus tweak program which halved my fps and also I have had to turn my quality settings down a notch and fps is stable enough to play. I am also running an old and stable driver. clean install of drivers as Ink mentioned and see if you have any other tools running in the background that could affect the gfx
CTC_ClanLeader Posted December 14, 2017 Author Posted December 14, 2017 (edited) As i said i used the option for taking previous drivers on the grafikcard entry in the manager ... i will take a look at driver versions when i am back from work. Game is running fine with the old drivers. Edited December 14, 2017 by CTC_ClanLeader
Ink Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 The latest driver available for your GPU is dated Thu Dec 07, 2017, you can try to update it from NVidia directly
