Cannonball Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 I saw a post regarding the option of crowed funding for Naval Action. That aside, what would it cost to hire more game developers to aid the workload and speed the development process? I am more than willing to seriously donate funds towards this game on a monthly cycle. Any thoughts on this topic? -Cannonball
admin Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Thank you for proposing this. You can already donate on our pre-order page. This could seriously speed up the development. Donations are not free gifts. All donations will be rewarded with exclusive in game content.
Destraex Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Oh really! Exclusive in game content you say....
Mirones Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 yes but dont expect any fancy stuff that you can throw away after one hour like in other games. they still have not desided what will be the stuff we are getting. once i get my first paycheck in January i will throw my money at gamelabs in the end it will be surely far more than i spend on war thunder (1600€+)
Cannonball Posted December 22, 2014 Author Posted December 22, 2014 Very cool thank you for the response mr Dev. I will actively Donate. Is there a thread we can brag about how much we donate? Just saying -Cannonball
Edward Vernon Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 once i get my first paycheck in January i will throw my money at gamelabs in the end it will be surely far more than i spend on war thunder (1600€+) .... blimey and War Thunder IMHO is rubbish.....on that basis you should be subsidising the entire development of this game.....
Mirones Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 most likely yes dont think that this would be a bad thing imo
Turil Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 Developing a game is expensive. There is not only cost for the people working on it (like developers, visual designers, project manager(s), audio designer(s) and other important people I forgot about) but for the office, power, hardware, bug tracker, toolset, taxes and whatnot. I've read somewhere a quite impressive list of what you have to think about to successfully fund a game. If I could only find it again ... most likely yes dont think that this would be a bad thing imo Since War Thunder isn't showing any promise anymore I agree that it is propably a good idea to put all your spare Bratwürste into Naval Action Gruß aus Wien!
MATANZA Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 it will be surely far more than i spend on war thunder (1600€+) Duuuuuuuuuuuude. My mind is blown.
Mirones Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 Duuuuuuuuuuuude. My mind is blown. some Xmas gifts here soem brithday gift there and sometimes i had a good day and gave another gift to someone. then alot of smaller 5-10bucks and boom and i invested the mone yover the course of a year and when i enjoyed the game the most. cant belive that there are developers thinking that they get more money from people if they force them to grind eternally. then having a damged liver from birth means i cant enjoy drinking as much as others then no smokeing and working only nightshift for a year means i was unable to go out with friends or family or other moneywasting activitys
