Jean Ribault Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 So last night I was maybe 60 seconds into a battle and the power went out (PVE battle). I got immediately disconnected from the internet although the computer was still on battery, but I couldn't get back in. When the power was restored about an hour or so later, I expected to have lost my ship but was suprised to see me enter Open World instead. My ship was damaged but not sunk and I was no longer in the battle. I remember having just enough time to fire off some chain to damage 1 of the 2 AI's sails and slow him down to separate him, so when the power went out I might've still been on full sails to get my ship into better position, can't remember. Anyway, other than perhaps being on full sail I have no idea why my ship didn't just stay in battle getting hammered until it was destroyed. Guess I got lucky. If you read this, I know it's because of the title, so shame on you. 2

z4ys Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 (edited) when you disconnect in a battle your ship is stationary for 10 mins. After 10 mins are passed it raises sails and starts to escape on best point of sail. Edited October 31, 2017 by z4ys 4

I've never been disconnected in any battle before so never had to wonder about it.
z4ys Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 (edited) I believe it was in the patch notes long time ago. But I can tell you its real because we forced that to see if its true. Edited October 31, 2017 by z4ys 1
IndianaGeoff Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 Well, was the ship filled with seamen or not? 3

I've never been disconnected in any battle before so never had to wonder about it. I recently experienced some really bizarre issues when I would go to the 'Enter Combat' screen when doing missions. I would never actually enter combat, but would be stuck on the 'enter combat' screen forever. I would finally go to 'task manger' to force quit Naval Action. When I would log back on I would be in open world. I would sail back to port and my ship had taken damage and had loss of crew, but it was never sunk. So z4ys is correct, however, I never knew this myself till now. Now the hard drive of the computer that I play Naval Action is failing me. When it rains, it pours. : ) Edited October 31, 2017 by Captiva wording

That is good to know... ...and yes like many of us here, I got lured into the thread hoping to read about some carnal exploits from an elderly game buddy!!! I want a refund. 1
