Guest Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 As far as I recall (And granted this is purely my vague memory) the barque class of ships were solely used in the mediterranean and baltic during this timeframe due to technical innovations in other rigging types. I may be mistaken tho, but for historical consistency (that is getting more and more slim) I'd suggest keeping to ships that were actually used in the carribean during the timeframe of the game.. Otherwise I want a Bismarck!

She was also one of the fastest, regularly logging 16 knots (30 km/h) average speed on transatlantic voyages. Unfortunately speed was her undoing, as she collided with a steamer that underestimated the speed of the Preußen when crossing before her. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windjammer#/media/File:Vollschiff_Preussen.png but not in time frame second largest; france II the largest disposable ships build https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baron_of_Renfrew_(ship) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baron_of_Renfrew_(ship)#/media/File:"Baron_Renfrew"_1825.jpg Edited October 21, 2017 by Thonys
