Anolytic Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 (edited) Whenever I try to enter the forum I get an error message instead of the site. Any URL I use to the forum returns the same message. I can't log onto the forum, or even see it, from my mac, windows computer or windows laptop or windows phone, and neither in Firefox, Chrome or IE. I can however see the forum and even log in and post from my phone if I switch off my wifi and use 4G instead. So it seems to be an issue with my IP address. the error I get from the site says "error the request could not be satisfied request blockedgenerated by CloudFront request ID: [string of letters and numbers that changes every time]" this problem has persisted since yesterday evening. Ink Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 Captain, could you recall please if you changed any connection settings or installed any program prior to this issue acquired?
Anolytic Posted October 17, 2017 Author Posted October 17, 2017 (edited) Nothing was changed on my end. It happened from one hour to the next yesterday evening. BTW this only happens with the subdomain forum.game-labs.net www.game-labs.net works fine. Edited October 17, 2017 by Anolytic
Captain Jean-Luc Picard Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 (edited) working fine on my side. Have you tried with different browsers? Edited October 17, 2017 by Captain Jean-Luc Picard

Captain Jean-Luc Picard Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 sorry i missed that line somehow.
Christendom Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 If you have access to a VPN, try connecting with that. You might have an issue with a connection node somewhere. 1
Anolytic Posted October 17, 2017 Author Posted October 17, 2017 VPN, or any other measure to change my IP, works. But it's a bit of a pain. From searching around for a cause to this problem I've observed that the same issue has hit multiple other forums with Invision Community IP Boards Software. Why I'm the only one hit here I don't know, but it could also be that I'm not and the others that are affected by this just haven't been able to get around it and write so here. From briefly reading about it this seems to be a security setting issue on the forum provider end, or otherwise an issue with the CNAME record.
lokii Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 Might be your DNS provider. What do you get if you run this from the OS: nslookup forum.game-labs.net Server: google-public-dns-a.google.com Address: 8.8.8.8 Non-authoritative answer: Name: r237714.tryinvision.com Addresses: 54.192.28.50 54.192.28.93 54.192.28.75 54.192.28.218 54.192.28.6 54.192.28.68 54.192.28.103 54.192.28.200 Aliases: forum.game-labs.net

Ink Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 Once there is upgrade available we will update forum software
Anolytic Posted October 19, 2017 Author Posted October 19, 2017 @rediii Any chance you're having a similar issue to mine?
Anolytic Posted October 20, 2017 Author Posted October 20, 2017 My issues with the forum now appear to have passed. I no longer end up with the cloudfront error. 1
Jarlath Morrow Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 I experienced this issue exactly as Anolytic describes in the original post. For about a day or two, I could access the forum on my phone and other devices, but not on my home computer. The issue seems to have resolved itself - everything is working perfectly again.
