IIN8II Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 I have had NA for just about two weeks and I have to say that I have been blown away with how fun, immersive and beautiful this game is. I decided to throw together a little fan made trailer to show off the beauty of this game! 15
admin Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Nice work... A bit too much bloom (hint) to my taste but I know a lot of people will love it.
Magnum Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 I liked it - of course I am waiting for my key so I am lapping up any game action I can find - thanks. P.S. I don't know what "bloom" is .....
Destraex Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Can I represent this as gameplay footage or is it modified?
IIN8II Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 Thank you guys! Can I represent this as gameplay footage or is it modified? The only thing I did was a bit of color/contrast correction and and a lens flare here and there.
Charles Caldwell Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Quality work sir..... I have a couple of technical question, how to you achieve the smooth camera pans... do you use the mouse or keyboard? Also which software do you use?
IIN8II Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 Thank you! Quality work sir..... I have a couple of technical question, how to you achieve the smooth camera pans... do you use the mouse or keyboard? Also which software do you use? For most of the shots I use the free camera and the attached free camera and use the mouse wheel to ajdust the speed of the pan. For the deck shots I used the default view as it has much smoother mouse movement. For recording I have been using Nvidia Shadowplay or Dxtory For editing I use sony vegas pro 13
Leviathan Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Great job on the video. The angles and perspectives were great.
BrutishVulgarian Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Great! My favorite NA video. Now we just need a classical music version, to go with all that editing and filming virtuosity.
Pixel Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 For full effect open a new tab and play snippets from the Master and Commander soundtrack or just queue up a chanty or hornpipe.
Flixerine Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Nice, but it missed a bit of combat, maybe a broadside here and there with the awesome sound it does? :X
IIN8II Posted January 3, 2015 Author Posted January 3, 2015 Nice, but it missed a bit of combat, maybe a broadside here and there with the awesome sound it does? :X Combat will be featured in the next one I do
Balck Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Hey N8, just a little suggestion http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/1431-what-music-while-playing-naval-action/?p=52080
Flip Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 It's a nice video but doesn't adding a bunch of filters make the beauty.. superficial? Just my 2 cents.
IIN8II Posted January 3, 2015 Author Posted January 3, 2015 Thank you Balck. I will think about using some of those for the next project. It's a nice video but doesn't adding a bunch of filters make the beauty.. superficial? Just my 2 cents. A subtle lense flare in a few scenes is the only thing I added graphically. Adding Color/contrast adjustments are adjustable with software like sweetfx and often with the in-game settings.

Still doesn't make it vanilla.
IIN8II Posted January 3, 2015 Author Posted January 3, 2015 Still doesn't make it vanilla. I never claimed it was. My point was that the post process fx used were minimal.
Captain Kangaroo Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Excellent video. It makes me want to go out sailing again, which can be more fun than shooting canons at other ships.
Astral_Eclipse Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Very nicely done, can't wait for more, if you are going to make it.
