VonBarb Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Looking at the numbers on the wiki page, the Wasa looks like a super ship. Faster, more HP and thicker than most other 4th rates, with more punch than the 3rd rate and a much better turn rate. Those perfect stats seem too good to be true, so I feel like I have to ask : Where is the poop ? Does this ship have weaknesses, and what are they ? I remember when the Inger came out everybody was hyped about the awesome firepower, before finding out it was really a glass cannon. Is it the same with the Wasa ? It certainly doesn't look that way based on the numbers alone. So, Wasa captains, feedback please, what do you hate most about your brand new Swedish 4th rate ?
Lord Gud Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 It's basically a 3rd rate with a jet engine that costs 150 marks which is like 2 missions...
jodgi Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 How would you feel if connie, aga or 3rd was an admiralty note ship while Wasa was craftable only? 2

PIerrick de Badas Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Wasa has no weak point. With agga on notes, i will still get wasa. With bello on notes, i will still get wasa. If bucentaures are on notes, i will think twice before choosing my wasa.

Sir Texas Sir Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 (edited) 1 hour ago, admin said: more ships will be added as notes I think some of the ships need to be rebalanced. Wasa I think is fine as is, but it needs it BR bumped up to the level of the 3rd Rate and Bellona. The only thing is maybe the speed needs to be reduced or give the Connie back it's better stats. It should be able to out run and turn this ship and it can't do that. The Aggy prob needs some of it's old stats back before it was nurfed too. I get the purpose for the ship, but the BR limit would bring it out of 4th rate port battles and keep it to OW. If some one can't afford to run proper Port Battle ships this is the good OW go between. I see it as the OW SOL hunter killer. Wasa does have one major flaw with having all those guns. CREW. Watch how fast those guns reload when you loose crew. Specially if the player is an idiot and didn't bring a bunch of rum. Edited September 27, 2017 by Sir Texas Sir 2

Sven Silberbart Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 1 hour ago, admin said: more ships will be added as notes Why? Do u keep an eye on the effect to the crafter and schipbuilder and the market they wanna sell their ships?

Do u keep an eye on the effect to the crafter and schipbuilder and the market they wanna sell their ships? Who is still selling ships for gold anyways? Did you notice that it's raining gold? Ships in capitals have always been overpriced and rarely available in the desired wood type anyways so i think it is very good to give PvP players access to ships with the built they want without having to do the crafting...
Captain Lust Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 (edited) 9 minutes ago, Mrgoldstein said: Thats a bit ignorant, there are plenty of people who enjoy crafting ships/selling them and there are always plenty of ships for sale and being sold.. Is it so hard to comprehend that some people like to do both? Combat and crafting/trading...im also a jack off al trades i like pvp but also trading and gathering stuff to make that one ship in the build you like..its rewarding when you sail that teak/wo bucc into battle..i cannot care for a wasa i got with 2 clicks. Its fine that there are some ships for cm,for variety and easy acces for pvp, but not all ships should I get where you are coming from. I used to craft all my ships myself and also sell them, when i still played actively and i didn't enjoy the click adventure at all but i can understand there are some who do. I just find it ridiculous for how much gold people sell ships and also i rarely ever found a ship that i was looking for on sale even in the captial ever because the "plenty of ships for sale" are either overpriced and not what you are looking for or just random garbage ships. Yeah, making all ships available for marks would hurt crafting too much i guess... Edited September 27, 2017 by Captain Lust
Eyesore Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 What is the point of having resources/ports if you don't need materials to craft? I see no positives about buying notes with marks and not needing materials to craft. Why? Because players who argue that materials for rare upgrades should be fougth over, but when it comes to ships, the arguement changes ... Same reasoning for cartagena tar: "if you want it, you can capture the port". People want easy ships, they make them capturable, people want big ships, they make notes for them ... Are you guys certain that you're posting on the correct forum? This is NA, not Legends you know. Traders and crafters are useless apparently, so why not kick them out entirely? They are not needed, because some can't be bothered to collect what is needed and thus they ask for easy acces ... but don't speak about their beloved upgrades, then they love a good monopoly, nothing wrong with them ... If you want a certain build, you can ask a crafter, if you want the materials you can ask the trader, if you need a port for rare resources you can go and capture it. Lots of 'reasons' are just laziness, only one play-style is permitted, they are definately not in the interest of the game, only for some/few players. 6
jnovotny6 Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 You all know Wasa sank after sailing 1400 meters. right? 1
Jef Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 3 hours ago, admin said: more ships will be added as notes I sure hope this is a joke... Why bother fighting for ports with rare wood types, when you can just pick up a ship with a note with a wood type of your choice (even if its not available to buy in the port your redeem the ship) Why transfer/trade wood across the seas to your crafters, why try and sell bermuda all the way from the islands to KPR, so people have other woodtypes then fir/teak. You just took away another reason to travel the seas... this will not increase PVP, this just took away another reason to travel, more easy mode into this game 1

jnovotny6 Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Vasa (or Wasa)[2] is a Swedish warship built between 1626 and 1628. The ship foundered after sailing about 1,300 m (1,400 yd) into its maiden voyage on 10 August 1628. It fell into obscurity after most of her valuable bronze cannon were salvaged in the 17th century until she was located again in the late 1950s in a busy shipping lane just outside the Stockholm harbor. Salvaged with a largely intact hull in 1961, it was housed in a temporary museum called Wasavarvet
Guest Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 It's a different V(W)asa. Not the one we have in game.
