monk33y Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 (edited) Incase the community is unaware, the eu server has had a few issues within the great British nation. Fixing of contracts and rumours of exploiting tax income. It now turns out that our development team spawned in extra items to help boost the British economy. But instead gave the controlling clan a tax income of 14mill.... This is the biggest joke iv seen on this game so far.... You have just in one step broken your own game. I won't be memtioning which clan and port in this section of the forum but it's clear as day I'm the eu section. If the Devs are going to prop up a nation's economy fine (not happy at this tho) at least STRIP THE CONTROLLING CLANS INCOME WHILE YOU intervene! Edited September 25, 2017 by monk33y 5

Your estimation is too low. I've watched the back-and-forth on "we need reasons for RvR" for a long time now. Isn't controlling ports with sought after resources a really good reason to fight? What if the devs met the player demand for a certain item? Can't anyone just go capture that port and jump on the gravy train? 2
monk33y Posted September 24, 2017 Author Posted September 24, 2017 Hell why was the items in question not spawned into every port but instead (not for the first time) given directory to the brits. Personally if the Devs are going to reward the lazy brits, why are we all not rewarded. I'm a pirate and I want access to the tar.... Why don't I receive it when I can't be arsed to sail three hrs to get it.....

Demsity Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 Did they do this only with the tar? Not other rare resources like Grietje van Dijk?

monk33y Posted September 24, 2017 Author Posted September 24, 2017 The fact that the Devs gifted AHOY 14 mill is where my issue is 2
z4ys Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 Sometimes its just the double standard which is showen here very often.
Tac Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 11 minutes ago, monk33y said: The fact that the Devs gifted AHOY 14 mill is where my issue is Well apparently they said they have over 500 million anyway so its inconsequential. 1
jodgi Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 4 minutes ago, monk33y said: The fact that the Devs gifted AHOY 14 mill is where my issue is My issue is that I want any player to fully fit a fighting ship, so I don't disagree with you. I don't like that some of the best bits for fighting equipment are only available to the rich. 6
monk33y Posted September 24, 2017 Author Posted September 24, 2017 I have a big issue with the Devs gifting money to one clan over everyone else. 2
monk33y Posted September 24, 2017 Author Posted September 24, 2017 The British have access to a third of the map! How can it be hard being a British player... You have access to about 50% of the entire map resources, and yet u need admin handouts!!!! The French are struggling why haven't the Devs gifted clans 14 mill in tax revenue.....
Archaos Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 You make it sound as if this was done deliberately to give the Brits an advantage, but from what I understand it was just increasing production of something at a certain port. Would you have made the same accusation if another nation had owned that port? If you do not like something that has been done in the game then complain about that issue and give your reasons why, rather than making it out to be some conspiracy to benefit a certain nation.
Ravern Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 If the bug was reported when found instead of being used for so long this may have been avoided. I started playing again just after the patch and discovered something was wrong after just a couple of days trying to get some of the rare woods. I later found out that this has been going on for much longer. Everyone should report bugs more often and not let it escalate like the issue with Cartagena Tar 2
Thonys Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 (edited) okay let me get this straight; (rare goods) it was an exploit.... and it get not fixed? Edited September 24, 2017 by Thonys

According to this post it was fixed on the EU server by giving the certain port more goods which ended up giving the clan 14 million worth golf from taxes.

To sail something given and not earned.. Well... The joy of capturing or sinking those mickey mouse players will be that much more satisfying..
Liq Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 I cant see the issue? It was being announced in public that there would be supply provided to please the players crying for their cartagena tar stuff. So anyone could have sailed there with smuggler tag and buy it? 1
monk33y Posted September 24, 2017 Author Posted September 24, 2017 (edited) And if the tax revenue for the day that should be around 1.5 mill but was instead 14mill. The extra 12 mill should be removed... Unless the rest of clans are going to start getting tax boosts Edited September 24, 2017 by monk33y
qw569😳 Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 AHOY received 14 million, because the players bought and sold goods on 207 million. 207 000 000 1
