Video Card recommendations.

I know this has already been covered here, but the post it's covered in was from 2.5 years ago...  Does it's info still hold true today?

nVidia gtx 460 and higher or AMD Radeon HD 6450 and higher are required.
nVidia gtx 660 and higher or AMD Radeon R9 270 and higher are recommended.

hah.. I'm replacing an AMD 7770 that went batshit on me two days ago.  My only other card around doesn't support shading 5.

Previously HD7970 by VisionTek (x2), and now Radeon R9 Fury by Sapphire (x2).  Other AMD prior.

this is my gpu but its abit overkill. a gtx 1080 will be fine for awhile in to the future

Thanks for all the input folks...  Going with a 1060 model.  Now I just have to find something to do with my free time over the next 3-5 days.  Ugh.
