vazco Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 2 hours ago, Graf Bernadotte said: There are three basic factors in economy:Β work, land and capital. Time is only a part of work. Those are factors for production, not for trade They're also no longer valid for all types of production any more. 2 hours ago, Graf Bernadotte said: You only joined this discussion to find a possibility to proof me wrong. You won't succeed since I never discuss about things I have no clue about. You basically discuss about things you don't have a clue about You claim that a "turnaround"Β is the key to profits in NA.Β Let me explain it plainly: Trader A buys Fine Fabrics for 100 MLN, sells them for 120 MLN. He has a "turnaround" of 120 MLN. Great! Proffit? 20 MLN. It takes him only 1 week to do this, great! Trader B buys good for 10 MLN. Sells them for 60 MLN in a single day. Proffit? 50 MLN. He has a "turnaround"Β of only 60 MLN though. According to Great Graf, it's bad. You prefer to be trader A. I prefer to be a trader B. Let's be those different traders, however please don't rub your ignorance into faces of other people on this forum. Β Btw, I guess you ment to say turnover instead of a "turnaround". Β 2 hours ago, Graf Bernadotte said: I would be the first praising you for finding out how this works. Β Sure, you would. You will have to figure this out on your own though. Β I could spend my money on port timers, but what for? I could support a few timers, however I'd rather prefer to spend it on upgrades, ships, or even more useful things like bounties.

qw569π³ Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 (edited) imho There are three nation (Russian Empire, Kingdom of Prussia and Commonwealth of Poland) which can't ignore payment for timers. Not setted timer will increase chance to lose all ports. Enemy can capture ports when defenders are sleep. I would like to know if nation loses all ports then is still playable or not. vazco Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 2 hours ago, Graf Bernadotte said: But finally you agree again in my basic proposition. People won't spend their time in game to make money for paying PB timers a nation needs to protect it's most important ports. We need a better tax mechanic, that you're forced to spend more for public interest instead of buying selfish goods for ridiculous prices I don't agree with you on a basic level - we don't need timers. We need to be able to access RvR content in prime time, which timers prevent. We don't need extra tax mechanisms either. I won't comment your other scribbles in which you show your economic ignorance. It's plainly visible for others in my previous post, thus I reached a goal. You definitely won't admit you made a mistake - it would be foolish to presume otherwiseΒ Β Β btw. I think I know why people dislike you so much: 2 hours ago, Graf Bernadotte said: In your example you forget Β 2 hours ago, Graf Bernadotte said: But finally you agree You presume too much and you put words into people's mouth just to create an illusion you were not provenΒ wrong. This I identify as the main irritating factor.

You lose all ports and lose access to the Admiralty, and therefore you can not convert Combat/PVP marks. With these facts, do you still continue to play for this nation?

Me personally - I wouldn't have an issue with this. I know that a Commonwealth could survive this as well - they would use 1 or 2 alt traders to craft all the ships for them, and get their ports back up in some remote area of the map. Β Loosing all ports usually is a symptom of a nation falling, not it's means to a fall. It's rare that a nation builds so much hate everyone focuses on them, it's also rare for even a focused nation to loose all ports for longer than a week or two. Even fallen nations rarely loose all their ports (eg. Prussia a few months ago, now Commonwealth and to some extend Russia). A nation will sooner fail due to lack of military victories and lack of fun battles in game, than due to loss of ports. Edited March 19, 2018 by vazco

Guest Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 Lmfao... Has DNP ever NOT been in the top of the clans that looses most gold per week? Thank god I'm the richest guy on the server..

Wanted the battle - not the bill.. Would you guys like it open for all so you can get anything out of the port?
Guest Posted March 31, 2018 Posted March 31, 2018 18 minutes ago, Banished Privateer said: @Lars Kjaer sorryΒ bro... 4m worth cargo + 2m worth Indiamen Then you really must be buying your ships in the wrong place.. and the cargo shouldn't be more than 2.5m.. But profits from trading are so large we'd have to lose 4 indiamans every day.. and we lose about 1 a week so.. Richest man on the server - and we're one of the clans that can pay 40 millions in upkeep every week without issues..
