Sir Richard Bolitho Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 Is this happening to anyone else? Started two days ago. My ping goes from 330 (Australia) to 1200, to 1880..logged out. On global server. Can be stable for 10 minutes and then ping goes crazy. Sometimes will drop back most times logs me out. All my other internet usages are normal and speed test shows good speed. Have uninstalled and reinstalled the game. The issue appears to be this server. Any help appreciated as the game is now unplayable.
Norfolk nChance Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 Yep it was a Telestra problem in Oz nothing to do with NA. What was the UTC time? Oz player saw it on Wireshark N.
Sir Richard Bolitho Posted September 2, 2017 Author Posted September 2, 2017 (edited) I am with Optus not Telstra, problem is still happening. Seems to be just the Global server that is giving me this problem. PVe ok. Edited September 2, 2017 by Sir Richard Bolitho
Norfolk nChance Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 don't know sorry fella. If I come across anything I will post it N.
Sir Richard Bolitho Posted September 2, 2017 Author Posted September 2, 2017 This is my tracert tracking to the server. Doc1.docx

Doc1.docx looks like your bottle necking some where on the way, but what gets me is the london1? This was GLOBAL? Have you tracert the EU server? Why would it send you that way and not towards US? Man SEA area always did stupid stuff to games when I was over there working and was at a hotel on me free time trying to get on games. I remember being in Singapore trying to get on a certain games SEA servers and it would be worse than if I tried to get on there NA west coast servers. Speaking of which any one got the IP of the servers? I had them saved some where at one time and can't remember where I put that file.
Norfolk nChance Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 yeah somethings off... I'm glitchie... and last week "we" had drop out issues on GLOBAL with all three regions suffereing. Right now got the Klingon Warbird Bug... going 40knts in a aggie...
Sir Richard Bolitho Posted September 2, 2017 Author Posted September 2, 2017 (edited) Due to the cable damage off Hong Kong Optus, my ISP appears to have rerouted the address. Actually a traceroute shows that it's in .de, Germany. And that it's via London, via the US, at the moment. The fix is around 6 weeks, or so they say. Edited September 2, 2017 by Sir Richard Bolitho
Skully Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Can you guys post PingPlotter pictures as in http://forum.game-labs.net/topic/22479-server-merge/?page=2&tab=comments#comment-461800 ? I'm curious if, for whatever reason, traffic routed through LON-IX from AU or NZ has adverse effects on ping to Global and/or EU server.

Me and reset me 5/6km from were it D.C'ed me the other night I sailed from George Town to prinzapolka got fed up with the screen freezing and resetting me 5/6 km behind were the screen froze so ported up logged of and logged in to find myself back at Georgetown, wasn't impressed especially as there was multiple clan mates that escorted me down, seems to to have only happened since the test server update
Sir Richard Bolitho Posted September 4, 2017 Author Posted September 4, 2017 The up and down sail problem is a known issue, I've had it happen to me. 1

Also ships will freeze for two-five seconds every few minutes or so. Issue is on Global Server. Edited September 4, 2017 by The Old Pretender Added information. 1
