Witte de Blauw Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 (edited) Excuse me captains for claiming your time. But what we read in the news is something like this: 42olaf84 sank Brit player near Coral Bay Now first of all, you cannot sink a player. What you have sunk was most likely his ship. But putting that aside, the information provided by the clerk could be somewhat more precise in my opinion. Vagueness leads to all kinds of questions. - what nation was 42olaf84 in? - what ship was 42olaf84 in? - what rank had olaf? - what ship was the Brit player in? - what rank had the Brit? So, if I were the boss around here, I'd change entries in combatnews as follows: KonterAdmiral 42olaf84 of the Swedish Navy in Bellona sank Brit midshipman's rooky-traderbrig near Coral Bay Now that would give us some real information. Even and uneven fights would become transparent, all of a sudden. Such would shine a much needed light on the quality of the combat. Edited August 13, 2017 by Witte de Blauw 1
Hethwill, the Red Duke Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 All information is good. The use given by us might not be. ( too many egos hanging by the yardarms ) Would be a good change in any case.
