mikawa Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 I strongly recommend bringing back ship duels (without ship loss). We have now a huge amount of upgrades on ships so the player should be able to test them thoroughly without losing his ship every time he fails. If you don't want to bring this back, then please implement an AI ship as oppenent which does neither move nor shoot so the player can practice proper shooting & compare the damage done. Or give us a reliable document where you describe all the advantages & disadvantages of the upgrades. These "JIG_SAIL_FORCE_BONUS" notes aren't helpful at all. 5
Rychu Karas Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 IMO it was a bad move to remove duel room. I remember the skirmish room in POTBS, it was a great feature which helps to build trust and confidence of the community into pvp. It allows us to learn the martial art from our more skilled and experienced colleagues. Also, I think it's a bullshit that duels will make OS empty, even more. It makes more players confidence into their skill what mean more good fights and more players willing try to their chance instead of only swarm ganking. GIVE US THE PRACTICE ROOMS!!!!!111111one
JobaSet Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 This prob not going to happen, reason it went away was because people think this is real pvp and would do it rather than sail in open water and find it. I get it it was a great place to practice or check out something new. Just don't see it coming back as They want you to play legends.

Siegfried Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 YES, bring back duel rooms. With more options for different br and asimetrical teams... PLEASE!! 1
Macjimm Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 Sounds like a great idea. Having a place where players can fight in Naval Action. This seems like a very simple fix to the big complaint that some players make "sailing is boring". It would also be a fine place to test or learn from a more experienced fighter. The idea that we are not allowing duels because we want to force players into OW PvP is distasteful and counter productive. We will not let players just battle because we want them to look for a fight. Wonder if the Devs have records of how much the duel feature was used previously ? Allowing duels until Legends is complete seems reasonable, heck allow duels even after Legends is complete
Sir Texas Sir Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 I'm sure you guys will get this with the arena game. Though I do wonder why we don't have a ship building app yet some where so you can test out builds and I do so training rooms could be nice, but lets be honest the best training is to actually get out there and fight.
sveno Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 Please bring back duel rooms. As noted in the thread of Havelock, duel room wont get people of OW, but retain them active in the game.
Tiedemann Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 And please fix it so we can dual in close to equal BR ships also. I would very much like to test a Victory against the Bucentaure. 1
Farrago Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 Another great use for duels is training new players.

I would very much like to test a Victory against the Bucentaure. Should be able to test any match of BR. Anything else would be too limited. Key word here is "test". Perhaps we need dueling and testing. With some type of reward or leader board for duels and none for testing.
