New Player Help

I was reading in Nation Chat about a Midshipman sailing in a Trader's Brig getting sunk and leave the game unhappy.

I must admit I do think he gave up early, but hey ho.

Would it be a good idea for all new players to maybe start on the PVE server and up to a certain rank be able to swap servers for free? That way they could get an idea on how to sail and make a bit of a stake hold in the game and be able to bring it across with him. 

 

If he goes past the beginner's level, he would have to pay or do whatever people have to do to move servers.
