Norfolk nChance Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 I'm now totally upside down on Rules of Engagement [RoE]. Think the combat forum needs some TLC OK I tried to tag a Surprise in a Privateer and it wouldn't let me. BR for Privateer is 40 and the Surprise is 140. BR am told are just guides right? Or guide me to a guide please
3 Hodo Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 You have to be within 100BR... which is annoying for those of us small ship hunters. But there is a trick to bypass this. Take a fleet ship like a trader lynx that is empty or a second privateer and sail around with it. You can tag up to 160BR without much issue. Then tell your NPC ship to leave or demast and dont worry about it. 2
0 z4ys Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 (edited) I believe BR of privateer is 30. 40 must be pickle But i might remember that i was able to tag a surprise with my pickle but not with a privateer, Edited July 26, 2017 by z4ys 1

0 Aussie Pastor Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 Call me a moron if you like, but isn't the term Rate Ship is interchangeable with a Line Ship? I am an Australian after all and we love to butcher the English Language at the best of times. NB// I've always have called 3rd Rates and above Rate ships, anything smaller, I called them Frigates or Covettes, Brigs etc. 1
