FFS Medium Cannons Again?

Christ please do something about the hundreds of medium Cannons that come as loot from missions> The loot table seems well crap these days but at least hull repairs or rig repairs can be useful.

If you insist on giving us so many cannons, how about some long canons or at least have a decent NPC set price to sell. Most NPC only buy at 1 gold, yet sell then for thousands. Why not set the buy price at 1/3 or 1/2 of the NPC price?? At least then they will be of use.

Or maybe even allow us to recycle them, melt them down for iron ore and coal.

Yup, meds are massively underrated. Way better dps, less crew required and the range is still pretty good.

Alternatively they could just disable cannons as loot. Give me more hull repairs instead.

Go contention grinding for port flips for a week and you'll have enough medium cannons to last the rest of your life.

I also don't need hundreds of these. especially when they are at least 2 levels smaller than the ship you are sailing. Maybe if I had a ship with 18lb cannons I might get 18 lbs as loot, noooo I get 6 and 9lbs,

That's what I do but really there is a glut of the things. The entire population generates more medium cannons via PvE looting than the entire population loses due to death.

I sale mine for half the cost to craft them.  I don't need them so figure I'll let some poor low level guy get them for dirt dirt dirt cheap.
