Make CombatNews channel silent

As per subject IMHO this channel needs to be silent. We already have Global for that purpose. This channel needs to be only PVP and RvR generated notifications. Thats it.
Look at it now. Its pretty hard to see the actual Clerk notifications with all this chatter

@Ink @admin Now that leader boards are a thing again, and the inevitable question of alt farming will arise, the Clerk should report which enemy player was sunk, just to keep everyone honest.

Depends on whether there will be actual rewards or not for leaderboard placements.

If not, then it hardly matters - alt farming just to sit on some leaderboard is just flat out pathetic - and I reckon we'd get alot of unnecessary toxic results from including the names of the victims.

100% support this. We really don't need an E-Penis channel. However automatic reporting and PB info would be very helpfull.

I post my memory screens all the time with people's name. Not much toxicity TBH

I support this. I had to look over twice to find the Clerk notification. If this channel doesn't become silent its is just going to be toxic Global 2.0

The leaderboard on the map screen says that top 15 captains get rewards.

I'd like it silent with the player name sunk and the ship type. that way you can tell if it was a proper battle or a trader gank

If awards are given out, transparency for all is the best course to take.  It will prevent future issues that always seem to crop up with the murky waters of alt usage.

It would just get lost in the GLOBAL like it's getting lost in the current channel.  Lets just keep it to a notification channel.

Not really cause it tells you who is killing a players. If Player1 kills a brit player every hour on an hour than we know that player is alt farming.

Hmm, seems to me that my friend and I could kill each-other on the hour every hour as well.  How do you know the difference?  Regardless, leaderboards always lead to epeen waving and folks willing to find whatever means necessary to be on top.  I don't care for them.  Throw in rewards and there will always be someone trying to game the system.  Not even counting ALTs.  Clans and individuals will make deals with each-other just to farm each-other to exchange said rewards and to show how big their epeens are cause they are on the top of some arbitrary list. Although, that's just my opinion and I could be wrong.
