Chris Ryan Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 I would like there to be a safe zone / no pvp gank area around nation capitals extending out to that capital's satellite cities. This would be for new players using trade ships to not be ganked. I am a relatively new USA player (started 3 weeks ago) on the PvP Global server. The Pirates conquered Savannah which is next to the USA capital of Charleston and pirate players ganking US players travelling around Charleston has become very regular. I don't think new players should have to worry about this, even on a pvp server.
Guest Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Nope. You cant give completely safe economic zones to capitals. People would be able to move millions in goods safely. Im talking economic disaster. Also its not fun. Its challenging enough to catch someone near a capital.
CaptVonGunn Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Hell I would just like it to work properly in ALL Capital Waters..
CaptVonGunn Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 you laugh but it is broken in at least 1 Capital Region maybe more as I havent been able to test it everywhere

Should I understand that you think its important to be able to gank newbs in forced combats that they can't win as soon as they go into open waters just outside the starting cities? @CaptanVonGunn: What do you mean? What is broken in capital reagions?
monk33y Posted July 16, 2017 Posted July 16, 2017 I think there is already a working system for safe gameplay at your capital and surrounding ports... It's called the pve server!
Chris Ryan Posted July 16, 2017 Author Posted July 16, 2017 From what I understand of PVE servers don't allow PVP at all. I want to be able to attack and be attacked. I also want a home area where that won't happen. This is reasonable and many other PVP games have it. From forum folks and in game players in my own faction the response to my suggestion has been like, "too bad," and, "you suck." Do you WANT to chase away new players? Oh, now that I check STEAM charts it seems that you have. Have fun with your elitist "hardcore" gank happy player base.
