Malachy Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 @admin in the age of sail warships and cargo ships were insured by companies like lloyds of London etc. I think we need to be able to purchase insurance for our ships and cargoes, especially since everything is so expensive and we are only allowed one durability. When we had multiple durability, we could be reasonably certain of being able to replace our ships, by the time the durability was gone. In the current system your back in one of those infernal basic cutters usually for several days before you can recover from the loss. It's stifling pvp and has turned the entire server into spineless cowards.
Iroquois Confederacy Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 The people who are cowards now were cowards before. I assure you, loss did not lose them their spines.
Malachy Posted July 2, 2017 Author Posted July 2, 2017 The facts of the matter is, before pvp was plentiful, now it takes days to replace a ship.

Now I'm lucky to fight 2 or 3 and we have a bigger population. 1 battle if I lose my ship, then I'm down for 2 to 3 days at a minimum as I replenish resources and build another. Quite simply the system as is severely borked and is discouraging toward PVP. Edited July 2, 2017 by Malachy
Baptiste Gallouédec Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 Tp to freetowns helped a lot to find easy OW PvP, this plus everyone having their pockets full of gold. But people were already very reluctant to fight if not sure to win, even with multiple dura. PvP events were a proof of that, with lots of runners vs gank squads with speed bucc & bello.
