Event Disappointment

Bring back the old event system please, once a week, with hints in bottles as to the time and place, lower weight so that traders can carry more and trader cappers can claim a prize (more prizes for people = more fun) and more wrecks than the 5 or so we have now.

The current event is too random for people to prepare and has too few wrecks to warrant a mass migration of traders and pvpers to the area.  I feel no danger or excitement from the current system, the old system was much much better and saw clans grouping up and organizing for the event.

Yes, I also like the old event where you knew ahead of time where the event was.  We would get a group together in mixed ships and try to capture traders heading back to free ports.

Well at the moment the "random" event also only spawned in three different locations. Mostly by the pirates and dutch. This cant be the idea behind it right?

There are 4 locations I see so far, haven't seen the Turk one drop yet, but it's spread out.  The thing is this is't meant to be a big joint everyone on the server rush. With 5 wrecks and 5 chest total it's only going to be a few guys that get the reward.  Though I don't think it flags the chest holder any more.  As long as they keep it random and multi time a week I don't have a problem with it.  I only went to the one down by the Dutch lands on GLOBAL and that was only cause I had a trader on the south side of Haitia getting white oak from a Dane port.   So I jetted down there....

Not bad loot, but for the time I spent jut heading down there and heading out wasn't bad loot. I see them more as like super bottles now.

I also got at the first event near the dutch lands on pvp eu almost the same drops as you got. Sadly I did not got the BP but everything else.

And for god sake stop the blob on the map that alerts everyone to the location - there's no hello kittying treasure hunt in it when everyone ends up with the location and even the most dimwitted buffoon can get his hands on a chest when the event spawn right outside his home port - i.e. Willemstadt.

Seem to have been offline every time that the event has taken place, and even if I were there's really no point in even trying unless you're lucky enough to be sailing in the immediate vicinity. So frankly haven't given a damn about the event.
