Clan Creator Cannot Demote/Promote a new Leader

Currently our clan is founded by a player that is taking a break and we don't want to have him login every time we need someone promoted to officer.

If he he leaves the clan as we've already tried it actually warns you it will delete the clan...

While recreating the clan gets around this, that's a lot of work for something that feels broken.

Blows my mind that this is missing. Even going back to UO/AC days you could do this.

You'll have to get the clan deleted or ask admin if he's able to.

If your clan creator hasn't played since the wipe. Get him to delete his character and recreate it (then log in and get reinvited). Because of the wipe, and if he hasn't used his redeemables yet, he looses nothing by doing this. We did this in our clan.

If he does that will it delete the clan or just promote the next in line? We are trying to avoid wiping out the entire clan, recreating and wasting over half a million in the process. He has logged in but hasn't used his redeemables yet so hes all good there.

He should demote every officer except the one he wants to be the new clan leader first. When he deletes his character the clan creator position will fall to the next officer/member on the list. So make sure that only the new clan leader is left as an officer. 

As long as you follow these steps, the clan creator position will fall to the player you want, nothing will happen to the clan (afaik not to the clan warehouse either), and the new clan leader can re-promote officers and invite the old clan leader back into the clan once he recreates his character.

We tried and tested this, but keep in mind that it was before we created our clan warehouse. To be safe you might want to evacuate your clan warehouse before following this procedure.

Yah admin has stated it's on the to do list so maybe when the UI will get updated close to release and we might get a logger for who puts stuff in and take out of the warehouse.

If he has not redeem anything he can just delete his char and it goes to the next officer.  Though I would demote every one except who he wants to give it to and than delete char, than give officer status afterwards to every one that was officer.

I can confirm this works. However the key to is to not have a warehouse. You can only do this if your clan has no warehouse!
