GB doesnt have one either

I think they are meant to be between nations so that they constantly fight for them. I dont know the situation for GB but Sant Iago is a important region no? Also Port au Prince is in your reach.

We reprimand players farming pvp marks if the exploit was caught on video or with other sufficient proof.

And yet - even if you have 1000 pvp marks for example - how can you turn them into a first rate?

Guess it was a day one issue, and accidentally on with the 10.0 Megapatch on PVP servers.

From the patch notes:
PVE server has conversion store (allowing conversion of pve marks into pvp and conquest marks)

Worth looking into as a PVP1 player mentioned as such to me as well.  Or, I'm eating troll bait.

I think you're eating troll bait on this one.  Don't think there was ever a mark exchange when the 10.0 patch hit the live server.

Sweden are closer to Sant Iago than GB ...French have bridgetown .. spain got 3 conquest marks from defending Cartegena .. as we all know in this game a defence is easier than attack ..

You know...we sailed 3 hours from Gustavia to Navasse to attack Port au Prince... You can do the same and attack anything you like.

Isn't one of the Spanish ports just north of Jamaica - Manzanilla or whatever it's called - a coal port?

Ah ! That is good breakdown. Having a thread on the cargo weight speeds would be excellent.

i dislike the idea of increasing the prices of permits over time.

As a Dutch player, this is especially annoying since we've been cut off from crucial resources since day 1 of the wipe.

We've taken multiple ports, before the Conquest marks system was operational, and therefore, we do not generate much conquest marks...

If the prices rise too near in the future, i fear the Dutch nation will remain at a disadvantage, courtesy of the Dev's.

Ain't 3 hours to any of those places unless you sail battle/slow. But in any case they might be seen, reported and intercepted.

from KPR to belize and back  is 3 hours  ...its shorter if you take direct route but that runs the risk of you been intercepted if you sail straight past  carlisle and  SLM .  then there are similar problems at belize

You wouldn't if you would have Sant Iago.

Also you might want to transport cannons instead of rare-coal

how does transporting cannons instead of coal reduce the time ... .2nd .. transporting coal is less of a loss if intercepted

Maybe we, (GB/NL) need to start exchanging ports, to catch up with every1 else!

  • Ship knowledge tree requirements were relaxed and changed at high level ships.

Superb hotfix. All of them great changes, but please, from me and all my friends playing this game: can we get entirely rid of this system where you're forced to sail ships you absolutely do not like sailing to be able to sail the ships you want?

It reminds me of the time when we had to make a certain amount of "kills" in specific ships to be able to gain ranks. Horrendous.

PS. I have a personal grudge against the Renommee and the Frigate, and those two turn out to be the most important bottlenecks currently... It doesn't make sense, it adds extra grind to an already grindy game, it forces people to have less fun, it removes freedom of choice when it comes to a player's chain of ships (I'd personally go something like: Cutter->Pickle->Navy Brig->Rattlesnake->Surprise->Trincomalee->Bellona, but neither the Navy Brig nor the Rattlesnake are needed in this tree, and I'd have to use several for me undesirable step stones), etc. etc. and for what purpose?

Actually you can win a portbattle now by not winning the portbattle itself but by doing as much damage as possible.

If you set a portbattle you know there will be screening and heavy ships inside the portbattle. Ships are costly to replace. Now keep thinking what you can do here with smaller but faster ships to decrease your disadvantage and winning the portbattle in a long term.

sorry you are wrong ... lets say we attack sant iago in aggas and the spanish have i oceans ,, we lose but sink 5 l oceans in doing so which would be pretty impressive  ,,the conquest marks they recieve from the defence  added to those they already receive just means they can produce more l oceans everyday ..to sink 5 we would lose most of our fleet .. the lack of conquest marks the time we have to spend sailing coal or cannons from belize means that our foe can repllace and build additional  l oceans quicker than we can replace our Aggas ..

the whole conquest marks concept either as a reward for winning the pb  was flawed in the first place and the chanjge to pensions has increased the inbalance

as i said originally the stronger just get stronger the weaker get weaker ..

nearest deep water port

What happens if we're in a warship?  How do we get out of port, or are we allowed to do that now?
