Manbot Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 First of all to the devs I would like to say well done with patch 10! I think a lot of the changes including the player based trading system is great, and has. Thought life back into the game. i have one particular suggestion in regards the nation starting position, which I'm sure the Spanish players will disagree. I feel that the starting position/resources of the Spanish at a little unbalance compared to other nations, especially the British. Ontop of that the high volume on know location by the enemy of kpr has allowed the Spanish to accumulate PvP point by atticking fresh basic cutter players. i think I rebalancing of this feature or mayb the removal of PvP point againts basic cutters or the i reintroduction of "safe areas" for newbies might b a good idea. Now I know every nation has their own starting point however I think we can all agree that none is so centra and we'll know as KPR. Ofcorse everyone is free to disagree with me

No but you do get them for sinking the guy who just got out of the basic cutter (and regular cutters do get you PvP marks!) As KPR is not easily secured and in several nations reach that means our new players get ganked non stop and a massive PvP mark difference arises which in turn leads to battles in which one side can't win du to running immensely inferior ships. This is a chain reaction that in under one week has completely screwed over any kind of game balance that was left. Even on the global server where Brits had a much better strategy and secured important ports and resources this problem is now showing. KPR is a PvP points farmzone which we don't have (don't even start with hunt the gankers that is bullshit and you know it)which means that even with a top strategy and good resources we may soon look at ships that we can't fight in a 25vs25 battle. Simplest solution wouldve been to introduce an exchange market so whatever you have in excess (for Brits probably conquest points and PvE marks) can be traded in for PvP marks (the exchange rate obviously will need some adjusting) to catch up to whatever a nation is lacking.
maturin Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Quote As KPR is not easily secured and in several nations reach How is it not easily secured? It's on its own island with no freeports and no nearby bases for the enemy to use. Circumstances make Jamaica an excellent fortress. You only get attacked because you're a large target. Habana and Charleston are much easier targets with the nearby freeports, and MT even moreso. Quit complaining.
