Teutonic Posted June 30, 2017 Author Posted June 30, 2017 (edited) Port Battle: Puerto de Espana Outcome: France successfully defends France was able to keep control of the circles for the majority of the fight - if this wasn't the case I firmly believe more folks would have sunk on both sides and the outcome may have turned out differently. Seems both sides made some rough calls, but otherwise it was very enjoyable. Edited June 30, 2017 by Teutonic 1

Do you have a recording/stream? Should mention the wind shifted mid battle, coming from the North and giving France the weather gage. It was fun indeed, we exchanged some iron. Jeheil Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Great to see the Dutch field a competitive fleet, wind is real bind at that port and certaintly makes it very hard to win. Huzzah to the cloggies and I s'pose well done Frenchies with your defence 1

I want to say I do enjoy these sort of battle make-ups of a variation of class ships unlike before where everyone was in the same make and model practically. 5

Teutonic Posted July 1, 2017 Author Posted July 1, 2017 Point-a-pitre Port Battle Outcome: Danes manage to take the port with just enough points BR - I wasn't there but I was told it was a lot of circle hopping and good sailing that made it an interesting port battle. Before the French started sinking they managed to get the points up to 940. Just 60 points away from a defensive victory. Nonetheless the numbers that the Danes were able to bring out helped them and eventually were able to control all 3 circles and take the edge back in their favor. I heard French screening forces were also successful in keeping a number of the danes occupied at the loss of a couple ships. Nonetheless a good effort from both sides and at least for today, the Danes were able to edge on by. 3
Axel Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 St Johns PB Outcome: French take the port Report: With no resistance showing from the Danish navy the French fleet was left only to be engaged by the tower defenses of the port.A few brave souls of the French Navy sailed in between all the forts straight into the harbor and capturing the port for the French.

Axel Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 (edited) Oranjestad PB Result: French take the port Report: The French Navy took the port from 3 sides capturing the 3 strategic zones in no time. At one point a French captain asked why the Swedish forts were not firing upon them. This however was because BORK had come to liberate the oppressed people of the Swedish colonies and once more bring the greatness of the Swedish Chef to them. Stay tuned for more Port Battle reports from the Eastern front. Edited July 6, 2017 by Axel
