Will their be more wipes before and at release?

I assumed so but wanted confirmation if possible before taking on what is now a significant grind.

So the question is, how many more wipes and will their be a final wipe just before release?

The only wipe we know for sure will be when the game is released.  So if the devs think we need more than that one before than we will prob get more wipes.  If not than that is the only one we know for sure.  The only thing promised is that we will get to keep our rank and crafting level

Why do we need another wipe full stop? I feel a lot of people will be very angry after spending months of hard work only to have it removed AGAIN. I understand the need to wipe gold and make eco changes, but if once the eco is up and running no need for a wipe.

Also another wipe will ruin the eco side of the game and we will be back to where we started, also newer players wont stay as long.

Cause this is Alpha.  They aren't going to let us bring what we got playing the game into live when we will be way a head of every one.  Hell I wouldn't be surprised we get a wipe when it moves to beta stage and we iron out the last details.    They are still changing and developing the game so things that we might of earned and done now might not be in the final game.

I would also like the official answer to this. I hear too many people say "there will be one more wipe on release for sure" and "there will be no more wipes unless absolutely necessary" but I can't find an official quote that confirms either position.

I believe some people are still waiting to come back to the game because they assume there will be another guaranteed total asset wipe on release and don't want to build up now just to start again later.

 

(And really the game is released right now. Calling it an alpha at this point seems totally baseless. The game was released the moment it was put on Steam. Calling it "released" at this point is just a line in the sand.)

Exactly anymore wipes when the economy has just starter to get back on track. Would be to damaging people would be to fed up with having to grind it all again.

And yea soon as u start asking for money on steam, game is considered released, Calling it an Alpha when you charge people for money is not really acceptable anymore.

The devs seem to hope this will come true and tbh i would like to see this, but i feel the game is going the wrong way to attract new player and keep them playing.

How is this not already considered released? Is the game not already open to the public by being on Steam? It isn't like we all signed up for a closed testing environment. I suppose they could expand their sales reach by going beyond Steam but even released games do that. I know they continue to develop but most MMO's do that.

 

Given the state of the gaming market today I am resigned to the belief that game releases is basically like a magician saying "ta-da!" after pulling a rabbit out of his hat. It really has no meaning since we have seen every 13 year old magician do this trick the last 100 years and the magician will just move on to his next trick by asking me to pick a card, any card from his deck.
