Allow adding enemy nation players as friends

I’ve brought this up before. But, please, can we get the ability to add players from enemy nations to the our friend lists?

 

I have lots of Swedish, Spanish and French captains on my friendlist from when we were allies, but I’ve never been able to add my friends from the Dutch, British and US faction to my friendlist.

I don’t see any reasons why this shouldn’t be possible to implement. Or any reasons why it would be a bad idea. As mentioned, many of us already have plenty of «enemies» on our friend lists from before the wipe. Why not let us add a few more?
