Zooloo Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 I don't see anything about it in patch notes so i didnt expect any change and it seems we have 5 min to join battles now, which caused me to loose a surprise to a cutter army gank where a surprise joined later in battle, and now i lost a frig to a squad who was able to exit a battle and join my battle despite the "no join" timer. I'm quite pissed off with loosing ships (and going back to cutter farming weeehee) to a ROE i cant understand so please can someone explain it ? I do like most of the patch but beeing forced back to cutter with these types of engagements is quite frustrating. 2
Liq Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 You can avoid the 5 min timer with the signaling perk (signaling rules apply)
Zooloo Posted May 28, 2017 Author Posted May 28, 2017 Thanks, but can you explain the regular ROE and precise the signaling rules please ?
Hethwill, the Red Duke Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Join timers are extended. All in circle will be drawn into battle. Signaling works a bit different - relates only to the faction/side of the perk users - but it can effectively be used by both sides ( still have to run some definitive tests on it ). Cannot rejoin a battle after exiting a battle. I did test it and shows Battle closed for me.

It's still not very clear, what is the timer exactly, can someone exit a port and join battle, can players out of sight range still join battle, Jon Snow let's go can you confirm your squad exited the battle and joined mine ? If you can also give details on signaling rules i'd be glad please. I know it's supposed to let players enter until BR is balanced but i lack details. Does it mean a 180 vs 190 BR battle will let a surprise, for example, enter to help the 180 side and imbalance the fight ? Edited May 28, 2017 by Zooloo

Zooloo Posted May 28, 2017 Author Posted May 28, 2017 Ok, and the timer is 5 min ? What about signaling does anyone know how it works exactly ?
Liq Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 (edited) Signaling (if the one attacked or attacking has it) lets the weaker side join until the BR is evened out. For about 10 min afaik. So if you tag a surp in your surp it will be 140 v 140 BR and it will say BR reached for both sides so its basically closed Edited May 28, 2017 by Liquicity
Vernon Merrill Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Just to add... if you tag a LGV in surprise, 140 I think vs. 110, nothing over 30 BR can join on the LGV side. Thats if signaling is present. 1
Vernon Merrill Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Oh, one more thing. I'm 99% sure it's based on the attacker, if both people have the perk.

Every fight without signaling is open for 5 mins for both sides without any BR restrictions AFAIK.
