Lonar Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 Well you know that game labs need to licence the music right? Iam not shure how much that would cost but i think the money is better investet in other thinks ... i mean then better a intigrated musicplayer so you can play very easy your own music.
hoarmurath Posted May 25, 2017 Author Posted May 25, 2017 Good games usually come with good music, in fact many people will use some other game music instead of ingame music most of the time. What i'm suggesting here is the kind of music I, as a player, would find adapted to the game setting. If you look closely, all tracks i suggested are from a single artist. It's up to Game-labs to contact any composer that create the kind of music that would best suit the game and make a deal with him. It may be Antti Martikainen, or another, this is up to them to find the best deal with the best composer in their opinion. I suggested this one because it's one of the artists i often listen to when playing Naval action, and he have specifically composed sea related tracks. All i'm doing here is make clear what are my expectations for game music that i presume should come with final UI. Of course other people can have different expectations, and are welcome to express them as well.
Hethwill, the Red Duke Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 If there's a snippet from games I keep in memory was the time spent around Interplay's Fallout Tactics and how it had a very simple custom music folder system.
