chichetr Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 I'm slowly coming around to actually consider buying this game. Formations seem to be much better and are less frequently blobs of men. My question is, can you select battles you play a la carte without having to play through the campaign?
Captiva Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 Yes you can. You can play the Campaign mode where the battle timeline is linear, or you can play the Historic battles in which you can choose to play most of the battles that are in the Campaign but you are choosing them individually and in any order i.e. "I feel like playing Gettysburg today", "that was fun, now I think I'll play Shiloh". Awesome.
chichetr Posted May 23, 2017 Author Posted May 23, 2017 Cool, thanks so much for the reply. I'm assuming troop numbers are set at the historical amounts?
chichetr Posted May 23, 2017 Author Posted May 23, 2017 Anyone, Bueller? Bueller? In the selected battles, are historical troop amounts used?
CSA Watkins Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Chichetr, yes for the most part Historical, places.. strengths , times. Weapons are balances for a more realistic fight..imo,, Historical Battles are nice and give the player a choice , where n when to fight.(as Captiva mentioned) I like looking up the real battle n than play the historical. Each to their own though.....Historical/Custom/Campaign // Levels... 1
