seanjo Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 If you are in battle and obviously losing, are there advantages to surrendering?
2 Anolytic Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Live server or testbed? On live server, the advantage is mainly in not loosing a life from your officer that you have trained. You also keep your remaining crew, so you don't have to pay for replacing them. On the testbed I believe that you save your remaining crew by surrendering, again saving the cost of replacing them. 2
0 Captiva Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Also, on the testbed server, there is no cost for hiring crew when in port. Rum is used for replacing crew while at sea. 1

Only on Live server. You save the life of your officer. On Testbed you may surrender, but your oponent can take your ship aswell. So , better fight till bitter end 1
