Hotfix is being deployed to test bed Rumors Rumors of National government takeovers of special woods production started circulating in the Caribbean trading circles including live oak and some other trims. Some captains with the connections to the West Indies company and Casa de Contratacion reported that several new woods are being research for use in the ship building. Use of new woods in planking and frame construction is also being considered. Shipyard masters are hesitant to allow making ships with old trims until more information is unveiled . (details) Fixes Important: It now takes some time to destroy stacks of resources in your cargo (current time is 10 sec per stack - it will be increased in the next patch) Important: Cargo will now affect speed in the open world (properly) - bugs causing slowdowns eliminated. Alliances tab disabled temporarily until alliance rework Victorious port battle defenders now properly receive conquest marks. To receive conquest marks you have to damage any enemy ship (any ship even one ship) above a certain threshold. Empty port battles will not give conquest marks. Conquest mark distribution. 3 for lineship ports, 2 for frigate ports, 1 for shallow ports. Several instance crashes bugs fixed Repair cool down increased from 10 mins to 15 mins Minimal crew requirement lowered on all traders Several minor bugs fixed 20

Do not dismiss the idea especially on the Bermuda Sloop types

Jeheil Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 OK so now there are only 2 types of trims...crew space or planking...but there are lots of different types of planking Bermuda Planking, Mahogany, Teak, Oak, Sabicu (Japanese Suicide Planking I assume) and White Oak. However in ship crafting you can't make anything other than Oak Planking. The rest don't even click in and arent listed in the Ship Building tab, where only Planks exist and this uses Oak.. 1

I second the wood thing, and I third Red Dukes mentioning of using different materials for structure, planking and maybe even masts to squeeze more individualisation (read: minmaxing :P) out of your ship. I have also had some (3) cases where when looting a 'book' from a ship it is rubber banding back to the ships hold I have sunk (and am now looting), this happens several times then of course its interupted as the ship sinks...am I doing something wrong ?

However i spent a lot of time in test bed last weeks so...IMHO can complaining a little eventually. Besides posted some "whats wrong, why and how you improve it" and normally, the silence or the totally ignore was the answer, if any. 3

If the ship has already sank on the server you cannot loot it (but you still can see it) we are increasing sinking time as it is indeed too short to be somewhat useful 9

Really no reason to test ship building when there it isn't all in testbed. How are ya'll going to make May 15th and still have a descent proper test and bug run in testbed? Can Player AI ships be captured yet? Was that atleast fixed so I don't loose another full LVG of goods when I recap it back from some one?

Jeheil Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Can we have the altered ship AND cannon stats visible...so if I have a Lion Figure Head and lets say Powder Minkeys (feeling a bit French today) then on the cannon stats page for say a 18pd long it would say Reload Time 58 seconds (-5.8) 52.2 seconds, coz J baby you gone made a machine gun ?

I cant say if it is too much of server load, though. Fast edit: The ship counts as sunk after you left/were kicked out of the battle. A sound piece of advice would be to not put things in patch notes until they are actually patched... even 'rumours'... maybe I'm just old fashioned. 1

Yah it just makes folks assume the worse and than more crap gets spread and more folks get pissed off. Right now form what I seen in the other ports about the wood types this is very much looking like Fine Woods 2.0. I'm going to be spending all my time crafting and trading instead of doing any PvP to keep folks in ships like I was back that. Screw that crap....though we where suppose to make shift crafting easier with the 1 dura so folks can get right back into ships and back into the fight when they get sunk.
