william1993 Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 I haven't tried it yet but I have a question- do the enemy forces automatically start at a certain level (example, fighting Bull Run against 70K union; and then it always stays at 70 K no matter what) or do the forces stay static via rank (example- at colonel and below all forces fixed at 45K, when your officer gets promoted to BG then fixed at 55K no matter what, and so on)
Bobby Fiasco Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 I believe they scale to you unless you select the contrary option on easy difficulty. In a lot of cases, you will always be outnumbered no matter how many more soldiers you add.
Wandering1 Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 As far as the underneath implementation goes, every difficulty has an army multiplier, whether it's 0.75 (25% smaller, colonel) or 1.5 (50% bigger, legendary), which gets modified by the scaling factors (unit counts, unit sizes, etc). Fixed army size sets all of the relevant scaling factors to 1. Pretty sure the army size multiplier is 0.75.
