Does this have a realistic reference? i dont know. Other details will follow? WHEN? today? tomorrow? next week? Can you say something more specific? greetings NitroBiLLe They don't realy revive dead crew, they just bring back "wounded" crew. They basicaly got knocked out or had a big wound, and the drink some rum, bandage the wound and they have the courage to continue. Possibly the rum might have enough alcohol to disinfect wounds, i don't know. 2

neogiuliani Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 well, now we only need 2000 players to start 7

Hethwill, the Red Duke Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 Solid hotfix. Eager to test the mass affecting speed.
Lokyi Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 Crafting cannons great... but what about newbie low levels? I've been trying to play a literal newbie character with absolutely nothing to start with... Playing on and off for 3 days has got me pretty much nowhere, as you get bugger all XP from OW kills or caps, there are bugger all AI traders getting about, and the ones that are, are carrying bugger all. 3

Hethwill, the Red Duke Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 Thank you. (( One of the ruses used my sea rovers used was to roll ballast to one side, make the lady have a limp and heel, then drop the skiffs and let them drag a bit more. From the distance it looked like a heavily laden trader ship. )) I guess the mass affects everyone. So taking barrels of rum and repairs parts should also affect the warships no ?
Jim Beamreach Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 I miss, Cannon Class showing in the Crafting overview, or we need in equipment section the pound of cannons we coud equip.

Fellvred Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 Very nice patch, no bugs so far - perhaps next if the trader destroys/dumps cargo this can create a marker on the OW so the chasing ship (or anyone else) can pick it up? 2

Hethwill, the Red Duke Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 Fully laden ship could carry good momentum even if she would hold low in the water. (( another reported hint when chasing a potential prize was, at spyglass detail distance to check how low she hangs in the waterline. A experienced captain could guess how much cargo would be being carried )) I wonder if there's a chance to "mask" the nature of ships in the distance. After all sail plans could be deceiving. 1
Liq Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 I like that change of cargo hold affecting speed. No more silly indiamans outrunning anything downwind :o) Instead they'll have to get escorts now. good change imo. 4

Once you used it it is in your skill list (for that class of ships) there are no permanent upgrades in game yet except for 5 that drop from military ships if you board them. 2

Havelock Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 Example for those who are interested: LGV (teak, speed, copper plating) empty: 12,90kn with 24pd carros: 12,87kn with full hold: 10,34kn Definetely dont want to go out alone^^ Regarding cannon crafting: I dont like that mediums have the same price in the AI shop as i need to pay to craft them myself (nobody would ever craft mediums). I know a lot of people like to use medium 42pders on their 1st rates to increase DPS, or people who mix medium 18pders and long 9pders on the Trinco to have somewhat equal penetration values and increased DPS. There is a market for them. Imo AI shop cannons prices shall be doubled. 4
