There are still no Dutch ship in the bovenwind region. We can't generate hostility there on open world and in missions they all pirates.

After a battle have 5 hull repair kits in the hold. The program states that only need 1 to repair, however it's impossible use only one, the bar only going from "0" to "5".

This is a bug?

every region must have 

3 bots per every normal port and
6 bots for regional capital

but 4th rate regions are bugged

I think it will really come into its own in larger port battles and bigger OW engagements.

Yeah, we made yesterday a 2nd Ltd. Fleet-Mission in frigs. and changed 2 broadsides with NPC's when a Dansk Trinco jumped our Mission so i attacked him but he was supperior from the start agains my Frig. His Trinco i think had Jib-Sails on so no escape for me. Repairs got cooldown only thing i coud do try to get behind him but with less Sails it was my End. My clan mate turnt over to him as i was nearly down, And he got a nearly full Trinco after my Clanmate arrived. End of all i lost my Ship by sinking and my Clan mate gets capped. So i think it gets harder for small Ships agains Bigger once.

It is April 19, today was to be wipe. When are you going to do wipe and patch?

 

Do not write soon because you informed all about April 19 and today there is nothing. I want a specific date

Fixed bugs:

  • Crew and hp bug in mission battle result screen
  • Bug with not working reverse speed
  • Trade window bug (players lost their ships they traded via trade window)
  • Cargo duplication bug

Other changes:

  • Crew button added to Repair option in OW
  • More content added to Pirate Den
  • Perk reset cost decreased from 100 to 50 marks.


Work on other bugs like NPC guns repair is still in progress. Thank you for the reports and feedback.

@Ink still stuck in (mission) battle screen with no crew and a badly damaged ship... while in fact I had more then 448 crew and a near mint ship :)

2 frigates should easly bet a Trinc with there guns and turn rate.  Your fighting a shp that has one of the worse turn rates in game.  Though sounds like it you went broad side to broad side with it until your friend showed up.  Wasn't there so can't judge, but remember we don't have to win them all.  Nothing wrong with running until you get help from the other guy when facing a bigger ship.   And remember if he was running Carros on that trinc just back off and keep your distance until ya'll can get his sails down and have him dead in the water.

you missed the part right afterward where they said, "Or by the end of the month.  I figure the 18/19th was out the window when the testbed patch didn't make the 10th or even the end of the week.  Hopefully we will get it this week so we can get it to live by the end of the month of first of next month.   If ya'll want to help get things done faster get on testbed and give good feed back of bugs and problems.   Pluss that gives you a heads up of what to expect when the patch goes live.

I first tried to, get him away from my clanmate. So he shot my Sails and i decide to repair, and passed the point to sterncamp and lost to much Sails a second time.

My Clanmate was shooting the NPC's until i said him that i dont will make it. I told him to leave but he has his owne mind.

I like it normaly to stay on a Frig/Reno and fight some in Conis or Trincs, but not with a AI-Fleet agains me in the back.

Next time it coud be that he is on the wrong side. :)

Strange bug you can not run mission from the rookie capitals not matter the Nation.  Bet you can't run mission in someones or National  region then any tested this. You can't pick the zone so no

It might well need tweaking, but I left behind all the bigger fleets (like a Mercury with a Niagara :))

you need to post the tree for unlocking upgrades... I find it stupid I have to sail in ships I don't  wanna sail in to begin with to get upgrades.  At lest give us a tree so we can know what we have to do.

I sail mostly in Belize. British surrounded by Spain, and something of a dead end. I can understand US traders appearing in these waters (though there's nothing to buy south of Bensalem), but have the odd French warships that also appear got lost from their designated area?

A very long way lost indeed. I think Tiburon is the nearest French port, over 500 k away.

come on really no xp at all on crafting but for ships....  That is hard core.... Atl abuse lol.  1st thing people say is Alt abuse no matter what it is.  

But now you have made everyone have to pick a class of player they want to be.  "Not a combat class, but a Social class".  In a million years I never thought I might have to point this out to someone.

 

  • High Rate Fighter
  • Low Rate Fighter
  • Trader or Hauler
  • Crafter 

Because even with 50 Pve MARKS. not WORTH SWITCHING back and forth.  

Please do not take this the wrong way.  Just want you to think about it, with out flying off the handle.

I'm a level 50 crafter that PvP regularly.  I just won't bother to switch perks.  It's nice to have the extra production and reduced costs. But it's not vital.  Hardcore guys might try to constantly switch perks back and forth to min/max stats but that is really their problem.  I don't see this issue as actually forcing me to choose a class.  If their is a rare occasion I want to build a 1st rate then for that one time I'll just go sink 34 NPC frigates.

It is a trade off like anything.  I dont do enough crafting and it isnt my primary focus so I dont have any crafting perks.  But I do a lot of hunting in light ships with carronades so I do use carronade master and area control.

Low Rate Fighter got to kill or bank up 50 pve mark when you want to change that.

but still we shouldn't have to pick a combat char or a trader/crafter char.  They said there will be no classes, this is basicly making folks pick a class.  Now what they should do is have the crafting perks tie in with your crafting level.  50 levels means you get one point ever 5 levels.  You than get to pick your crafting perks off that.  While you have 10 Ranks and 10 points for you combat perks.   That would make more since we aren't suppose to have Classes or Carriers in this game with it being an open sand box.   Than I wouldn't mind if I have to pay 50 or 100 PvE marks to reset them.

Came across this in a capped trinco:

No idea what it is or what it does. I clicked "use" but there is no visible clue as to what it did.

@admin or @Ink: I made a F11 report of missing dock slots after I paid for expansion. It didn't work at first but when I came back to the game later there was more room in my docks.

I like the fact that people will have to seriously gimp their fighting capabilities if they want to drag bots around. Everyone will spend that one point to be able to cap and keep a ship, so that one's mandatory. 3 pts for one fighting bot and the ability to cap and keep a ship is ok I guess. If you go 4 pts for FC2 and 8 pts for FC3 you would REALLY have to prioritise dragging bots around. That's one little thing you can do for OW PvP without taking all choice away from those disruptive bot lovers.

Does anyone know how crafting works now, or should/will work? I could make a frigate now from the get go, is it the old chance to drop system to gain bp or access bigger ships? It would be terrific to know before I start all that because all things resources and mats seems like a much bigger pain now. 

Traders can now get rich with that mindless displacement of virtual sea water. I wonder how people who prefer to only have fun in this game fighting ships, and preferably player controlled ships, are supposed to get by? Most things about the new NA seems to be one or several steps in the right direction, but I can't spot the enabling of fighter only players.

Then there's the announced lulzy rat ROE that excludes competitive players from going rat.

Also, timers longer than two minutes is a massive caveat for competitive players. No, I will not stop saying it as it is one of the most important things for solo and small group hunters. Be careful listening to the "I wanna help my friend" (translation: I wanna gank intruders) and "I want big boom many ships fight" guys. They say they love PvP but it is some form of Forrest Gump PvP where everything happens by chance with a snowball effect on top. Powderhorn talked about his vision of a deliberate, skill and planning based NA today, he can never have that with lolROE.
